Looks like Dream act did not make it
« on: December 18, 2010, 03:05:50 PM »
Hi,

Senate could not muster the votes to bring the vote to the floor on the dream act.  Love the writeup on Yahoo, huge headline saying Republicans block the vote, then the last paragraph names the democrats who joined in with the Republicans.

Umm, you want to scream, there are 60 democrats in the senate, the Republicans cannot block anything as learned in the health care fiasco.

Lugar, an Indiana Republican voted in favor of passage, he has to go....

Saw that too.

I emailed, faxed and called my so-called "representatives" to vote against this. I'm curious to see how they voted. I'll have to do some digging, but I'm pretty sure I know how they voted based on their records.

Hi,

I wrote our idiot senator Nelson who is up for reelection in 2012 and told him to start cleaning out his desk.
