Explain It Again - BUT ... REAL ... S-L-O-W ...
« on: November 11, 2008, 12:09:22 PM »
The long-winded drunk has been on a religious kick the last few mindless threads she's produced of which I have read.  Seems it bothers her to have her exaulted leader called exactly what he is.

In this case, I'm going to answer her silly questions.  Will she be able to comprehend it?  Probably not.  But at least she can't say she hadn't heard the truth from me.

… ‘cause I’m having a R-E-A-L problem understanding the concept.

And that leads me to believe that one of two things is going on here: (1) I am extremely slow on the up-take, or (2) you are not making any sense.

I appreciate the whole our guy lost thing – a circumstance that, by its very nature, is bound to incite anger, encourage a desire for revenge, and lead otherwise decent and intelligent people to glut themselves on sour grapes to the point of losing all common sense – along with their sense of perspective.

But what I am still struggling to understand is this whole anti-Christ thingy that’s been attributed to Democrats and liberals for decades, an epithet now squarely aimed at our president-elect, Barack Obama, with a vengeance that I seem to remember – and please, correct me if I am wrong – was once His and His alone – or so sayeth, or speaketh, or whatevereth the Lord God Almighty (who some pseudo-Christians might still vaguely recall from some sermon they heard in a land long ago and faraway, in the time before Jesus and his teachings became available in the Xtreme DVD edition, complete with extras, out-takes, and behind-the-scenes footage never before aired in the churches of the nation) might have said, at one time or another, when the MSM wasn't there to report it.

The correct answer is #1.

Oh, and no anger here or with conservatives in general.  Outrage and irrational anger is exclusively owned by liberals.  And no reason for revenge from me.  Just living my life normally and being happy everyday is enough to drive you Democrats/liberals crazy.

I can't speak for others, but that Dems/libs are in favor of abortion and homosexuality (among other issues of which the Lord has specifically identified as sin), which are a violation of God's Word, is enough for you to label yourselves as being against Christ.  If BHO fits into that category, then he's the one who placed himself against God, not me.

Yep, still strugglin’ here – struggling to understand how speaking up for middle-class workers and their right to a decent wage is an affront to the Sermon on the Mount (and if you haven’t checked it out lately, it’s worth a second read).

Still struggling to understand how promoting affordable healthcare for every American is a direct slap-in-the-face to the Nazarene, who pointed out that we are our brother’s keeper – and whether we’d applied for the job or not, it was expected that we’d at least give the idea some serious thought – and maybe even a little bit of effort.

Still strugglin’ here – trying to comprehend how the same people who claim to love The Man (ya know, the one who admonished His followers that as they do to the least among them, so they do unto Him) can’t get their heads around the concept of feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless as something good Christians do and not as something you can slap the label of socialism on and dismiss out-of-hand, just because you’re looking for a loophole to crawl through without parting with a dime (and I’ll be damned if the right-wingers aren’t danglin’ that loophole – which has a strong resemblance to a noose – in front of every last greedy soul still lookin’ for a legal argument to present on Judgment Day.)

Still tryin’ – and not without a lot of effort – to comprehend how talking about diplomacy as a means to avert war, putting social safety-nets in place to catch the least among us, ensuring that an honest day’s work equals an honest day’s pay, encouraging dialogue rather than fingers-in-your-ears silence/ignorance, and promoting peace and understanding is anti-Christ behavior – but I am trying.

NG does her own version of Mein Kampf.  Let me help you with your struggle.

Taking care of your fellow-man, feeding the hungry, helping those who are ill, sheltering the homeless, seeking peace, etc... are all commandments from God for the individual.  Extending these commands to gov't is not even part of the equation.  The teaching of Jesus Christ was not in view of gov't at all, he was not a political figure.  His teachings are spiritual.

God isn't about the price of healthcare, or what minimum wage should be, or a social safety net.  If you went your whole life not having any of these things, that still doesn't relieve you of the obligation God has set forth to help others as an individual.

In other words, it doesn't matter what economy one might live under, whether it be democracy, socialism, a republic, communism, or even anarchy.  It is my responsibility as an individual to take care of my fellow-man, to feed the hungry, to help the sick, to shelter the homeless, and to seek peace.  If in the end you stand before God and say that you did these things because "I paid my taxes to a gov't that did these things," you won't like the answer you receive in return from Him.

Quote from:
Maybe I’m the one who’s got it all wrong – and I am humble enough to accept that possibility. But it seems to me that putting our trust in the guy who is willing to encourage an entire nation – if not the entire world – to walk in the other guy’s shoes, and truly appreciate what he needs, is a step in the right direction.

It’s kind of like walking in the Shoes of the Fisherman – who some (but apparently not all) will recall from a previously-viewed videotape that is crying out for rewinding these days.

So just walk it – and stop talkin’ it down. Because what you’re talking is nonsense, and the way you walk is what is ultimately going to count.

And deep down inside, you know it.

No "maybe" about it, you definately got it wrong........... again.

Maybe to you BHO has "encourage(d) an entire nation – if not the entire world – to walk in the other guy’s shoes," but I've lived by that motto long before I ever heard of him, which is one reason I'm opposed to his positions politically.  What I hear from him is the typical liberal motto of "What's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine."  That's not really something I believe the world should be encouraged to do.

So to you DU lurkers, PM NG and direct her this way.  And I invite her to come here and try and discuss this with me, because I'll hold her feet to the fire.  And she knows it.  And that's the very reason she won't leave the safe confines of the DUmp.

I guess I missed the part where she dicussed Jesus dying on the cross and being ressurected to pay the price for mankinds sin and to restore fellowship with God.

When she gets around to that part of the Bible and stops throwing the other things she doesn`t like out I will pay a little more attention to her thoughts.

.....I will pay a little more attention to her thoughts.

The American Nana primitive's bound to get less and less attention anyway, and the corrosion of alcohol might have less to do with it than something else.

With the election of the Big Zero, the steam is rapidly running out of the American Nana primitive.  All of her cheers and exhortations and rants were based upon Hate of George Bush, and with George Bush leaving, she's got nothing to cheer and exhort and rant about.

It's going to be interesting, the effect upon the primitives who Hate, once George Bush is honorably and comfortably retired.  Who are they going to Hate?

There's hardly anything sadder--or more ridiculous--than someone with Hate, but no target for that Hate.  Such people flop around like beached whales.

It's sort of the same dilemma El Stupido Supremo's slipping into; El Stupido Supremo built an entire "art" "studio" on peddling anti-George Bush stuff; well, now that George Bush is leaving, the market for such "art" is fading, and so what's El Stupido Supremo going to peddle?

You know, I recall absolutely nothing about "middle-class workers and decent wages" within the Sermon.  It paints a beautiful picture of who a Christian is to become, though, something Nance obviously missed somehow.

Who is "the least among us?"  The hungry?  The homeless?  (Want to go look who supports food pantries and shelters, Nance?  Nope, sure you don't, you wouldn't like that answer, would you?)

Who is "the least among us?"  The most ignored, helpless segment of humanity...the unborn.  The next most abused and ignored...the very elderly.  (Are you going to try to save infants, Nance?  Are you going to help in nursing homes, Nance?  Guess who does those things, Nance.)

Who else is among "the least of these?"  Those in prison?  (Who is it that visits prisons on a regular basis, Nance?  Who is it that starts ministries and sets up programs to rehab people through love of Christ - the most effective rehab program available?)

I guess if you go through life ignoring all the crying needs of this world while voting to have rich people pay extra taxes so your charitable donations get made...you're just like Nance.  Maybe Nance needs to actually read that book she preaches at others.

H5 USA. That reply is dead on accurate my friend.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Yep. nothing in this world or any other upsets a leftist more than requiring them to roll up their own sleeves an sweat rather than sending somebody, anybody else to do the heavy lifting for them.

It even shows up in thier raising their own kids.  I watched in mute shock trying to keep it off of my features at my kids parent-teacher conference today.  A pathetically large portion never inquired into their kids assignments and didn't know they had words they were supposed to be learning well enough to recognize.  This was among the ones that bothered to show up.

In a nut shell the libs like that "your sin is forgiven" part, but the "now go and sin no more" throws them for a complete loop. The response is to redefine their sins as virtues becuase they feel good.
