The Mote in God's Eye
« on: May 13, 2012, 07:34:26 PM »
Just got this from Amazon, reading it in the kindle app for the PC.

Written by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.

On the cover is a quote from Robert Heinlein..."Possibly the greatest science fiction novel I have ever read."

I was looking for something from Saberhagens Berserker series but happened upon this.

It's very good, at least to me, the detail it goes into concerning multiple G space flight and the difficulty of that is very good.

$6.35 from Amazon

If your curious you can read a fairly long excerpt here...

No spoiler, I'm only 86 of 555 pages into it, go read the excrept.

Oh BTW, if any of you all have read any of the Berserker series and remembers the story of the machine that sings to itself, please let me know.

I read this for the first time last year (I think). Great book.

Great title. I'll keep an eye out for it.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
