primitive decries censorship on Skins's island
« on: April 07, 2010, 04:40:03 PM »
That's the way one unearths potential PoP (primitives of prominence); starting off by just reading threads whose subject and comments one finds amusing.....and then with the passage of time, one's absorbed enough primitives to get an idea what's distinctive about each one.

After which it gets simpler and quicker; one can just zip over to Skins's island, find a particular primitive, and bring material over here.  In fact, one gets to where one can even predict, with utter reliability, what a primitive's said even before reading the primitive's comment.

It saves a lot of time.

For example, when I see Pedro Picasso's name, I know it's a cornucopia of stupidity, or Oscar Wilde's name, I know it's a goldmine of paranoia, or Doug's ex-wife's name, I know it's a big pile of steaming cowshit.....even before I start reading.  Guaranteed results.

Then you have this pre-k opus and  another contender going down in the stretch.

Censorship at DU - This is my last post.
Edited on Wed Apr-07-10 03:44 PM by Krashkopf
This will be my last post on DU. (And I was SO looking forward to going over 1,000 post!).
As much as I have liked it here, I choose not to post on a message board where the moderators can lock a post on a very important subject simply because they disagree with it.

The following Post - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph ... - was locked by moderator Rasputin1952 because I said that, sadly, I would have to support an effort to impeach President Obama for violating the Constitution - just as I supported the impeachment of President Bush when he violated the Constitution.

According to Rasputin1952:

Calling for the impeachment of President Obama is not in the course of things we condone. While discussion of the issue at hand is certainly viable, impeachment is not one of the goals of the DU membership.

{snip}

Censorship? At the Dump??  Shirley, you jest. :rotf:    And don't bother trying to follow the link in the quote the clean-up crew has already removed any evidence.  Crusty or pan style Krash??

Split this away from another thread, because zeitgeist's post is worthy of its own thread.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear Leader could be on video gunning down a playground of children and they'd defend him.

On Skin's island, lying is job 1.  Being hypocritic and trying to claim you're not lying runs a close second.

23. I agree with you
So what if Obama did do something that was clearly deserving of impeachment, would we not be able to discuss that either?

The moderator was out of line and it should be reviewed by skinner.

Ah...questioning the censorship of DU is delt with by censoring the question.

I find it very telling that any reason thinkable that could lead to Barry's impeachment is not allowed to be discussed.

Are we seeing the first few cracks in DU that will lead to it's slow, painful, burning death?

I looked -- didn't see any reference to goals and membership.  Has to be for the paying customers...

DU is a private enterprise, and can be run however the owners see fit. And other private enterprises can respond by pointing and laughing.

Pepsi pointed and laughed at 'New' Coke.
Coke pointed and laughed at Crystal Pepsi.

Life goes on.

By accidental design DU has become a cracked mirror image of the current American Democrat/Socialist Party.  The party is the important thing.  Everything else is secondary.  It's the "cart".

Even if the nation is on a course to destruction, which will destroy the Democrat/Socialist Party too, the party still remains too important to interfere with its core philosophy in order to save the nation, thereby saving the party.

We really are dealing with two types of people in today's American Democrat/Socialist Party: The truly evil and the barely-functioning mentally ill who worship them.

That thread is so full of hypocrisy that it's sickening.

I have been frustrated, ticked off, angry, bemused, you name it here, at the mods and others - but I remain here for 8 years and more than 16,000 posts because I recognize that this is Democratic Underground - check the name. I do not join with FReepers, birthers, DeMint, Bachmann, Limbaugh, Beck, Fox News et al in their hatred for our president, and never will, nor will I act to enable them, as you advocate.

8 years of hating the previous president is quite alright, though.  **** you.

Because DUmmies aren't happy unless they're unhappy.  They only get REALLY happy when their unhappiness makes YOU unhappy too.
