Public Nudity: Is It Generational, Regional, Religious, Or Something Else...

I mean... I grew up in Northern California in the 1970s, and going to a nude beach was almost a rite of passage. Pirates Cove, Black's Beach, Baker Beach, Paradise Beach, and dozens of others along with many many redwood hottubs...
 
Part of the sexual revolution was proving that body image didn't matter.

Guess I missed the next couple of memos.

1. Maybe it's all of those. That's why it's so fraught with dispute.
Never been to a nude beach but I've been nude outdoors on private occasions.

6. I went topless in right situations when I was under 40...
Out on the river and private pools, etc. But I'm older now and I'm not about to show anyone but by boyfriend my sagging breasts and don't want to see anyone else. JMHO.

If so, yes. And then the bikinis I wore in Brazil were pretty close to being nude.

Years ago I went on a couple of cruises to St Martin. The cruise directors always mentioned that you could find the nude beach by following the nipple drag marks in the sand.

Problem I have with the nude beaches and camp grounds are the people that bring their kids from birth to adulthood.

Seems all the mystery and lust or love is removed from these kids.  Fancy being a kid seeing every day Mom's or Dads nude bodies moving about cooking and cleaning, playing games, horse shoes or volley ball.

Went to a nude beach in Calif. years ago, my friend and I sat way up on the dunes and both of wet our pants as we laughed watching the going ones.   We sat there for a few hours and in that time did not see one man or woman that did not weight less then 150 pounds.  Little was hanging out on the men, the beer bellies covered their manhood.

Woman who laid down with these huge pockets of fat they called boobs, off their chest pointing east and west.  Easy to tell who had implants the boobs stood straight up like torpedo's.

This thread reminds me of a Hannity radio show just a few weeks ago.  He was talking about nudist colonies and some nudist had called in talking about it and Hannity was like, "So you just walk around with everything hanging out?"  I had to turn it off because I was cracking up so much and I was working.  I felt like I was disrupting everyone within a few rows of my desk.  I think the nudist that called Hannity was talking about how he was kind of overweight and it just bothered me thinking of some fat guy walking around naked.

Simple solution: Don't look. Unless you have been taken at gunpoint to the local nude beach, nobody is forcing you to.

I agree with the above statement but unfortunately my job takes me to San Francisco right by where the nudists that protested the city's decision to ban public nudity hang out, corner of Market and Castro. And, even though it's now against city law, they still "let it all hang out" and nothing happens to them....and believe me it's not a pretty picture.

Judging from the zombietime photos I have see they are doing more than just letting it all hang out. Disgusting displays at some street fair out there with plenty of children around to witness.
