Don't bash Texas, sir.

Texas is okay, excepting the way they took over and ruined the old Big Eight college football conference; they should've stayed in their place down south, leaving Oklahoma and us alone.

But if one's fated to have Texas, one wonders if a trade-off could be made, the Big Twelve taking in Arkansas, and Colorado being relegated to some Division XXIVaa college football conference.  Arkansas belongs with us, not with where they're at.

However, we up here are deeply gratified that when Texas joins with Nebraska in voting for a Republican president, the two of us together provide that candidate with one-eighth of the electoral votes he needs, to win, which is no small thing.

It is hard not to bash Texas since I have been taught to hate them since I was just a toddler.

I don't ever see Arkansas leaving the SEC.  We are trying to revive some old rivalries with a game with aTm at Jerry's World.

And thanks to Nebraska for sending your baseball coach to Arkansas, we are pretty happy with him.   :cheersmate:

I was hoping to read something original.   :loser:

Yes we do have lots of great bbq.  Being between Texas, Memphis and Kansas City definitely has its perks.   Most of the best is located in the small towns and in a hole in the wall building.

Yeah, I was traveling through AR a few years ago, and that's exactly what happened. I stopped in a plain, non-descript restaurant in a small town, and had a good bbq. It was sorta the Memphis style bbg, though. Is most of it like that? I really prefer the KC style, I think.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

bbq tends to be influenced by the closest region, in the northwest part of the state it tends to be KC style while the central and eastern parts are more Memphis style, the southwest obviously texas style.

The only problem with that is there are no roads in ARK, that go anywhere anyone wants to go........

Now, THAT is cool. What is it called? Are you allowed to keep the diamonds? Are you likely to find some, if you dig in the right place?
