Anyone know what this means? The beeping has two alternating tones.
-
When that happened to my laptop, it was a sign that the motherboard was shot. It soon died for good after that. :(
-
It's working for now, but I'm going to back up everything and we'll probably be getting a new computer soon.
-
I'd suggest that you power down, reseat the memory, and power it back up. That MIGHT get rid of the beeps.

Yup. I was going to say "Memory".
Could also be the VC.
I'd take em both out , clean the contacts and use an can of air to clean the slots (and any other dust in the chassis while you're at it).

Id reseat the memory, and get a can of compressed air and blow the dust out of the system while your at it - Heat buildup can cause a lot of issues, Including expansion and contraction that can wiggle things like memory out of place.
Here is a hint - If you have a canister vacuum or any vac with a hose, hold the hose nearby with one hand while blasting the compressed air with the other - otherwise the dust you'll kick up will settle on everything in the room.
