Title: Modelers display your stuff here!
Post by: asdf2231 on January 29, 2009, 06:03:28 PM
A few things...

The gas station was scratch built.  The pumps are resin.

The Police Interceptor was kit bashed.  It's a 1/43 scale dicast.

The top boat is a kit bash and the bottom boat was scrathbuilt.
The piers were all scratch built too.

Both of these were scratch built.

Well now, what you need are a whole lot of HO-gauge electric trains running around all of this.

LOL!

Most of the buildings started life as "O" scale railroad terrain.

Very nice.  Necrons are pretty easy to paint though.

Here's some of my stuff.  I build it all, but I pay someone else to paint them.  I've got no artistic ability at all.

Nice, models, guys.  You're making me envious.  Can I post pictures of all of my models that my dear, dear brother CRUSHED BY PILING BOXES FULL OF BOOKS ON TOP OF THEM DURING MY LAST MOVE?   :banghead:

Sorry for the shouting.  I still get a little emotional about it.  I finally broke it to him last week that he was the one who did the deed, when he asked what ever happened to all of my models.   ::)

In about a month I will be off to Louisville KY for Wonderfest 2011. This will be the 8th time going for me. I'll be sure to take alot of pictures while there and in August There will be the IPMS Nationals to be held here in the Omaha area . That one is being run by the Ft Crook Chapter of the International Plasric Modelers Society of which I am a member of. IF anyone is able to come I'll be around there the whole weekend in August working and supporting the show and Maybe i might have something ready to enter for the show as well .

Working on my first model in over 10 years.

An F-14A marked with VF 142 insignia. I forgot how calming it can be.

Next is going to be an F-15I. Revell has a 1:32 F-15D and I can get a mod kit and decals online.

I'm not so sure I would use a D model F-15 when the F-15I is much closer to the F-15 Strike Eagle.

This is the kit I'm going to use as the base. It's a D/E model. I'm not too sure of the differences between the Ds and Es yet. Just starting my research.

Besides some internal things that would be in the cockpit the E model has conformal fuel tanks where the D model doesn't . The conformal tanks are where some of the bomb racks are for the Strike Eagle to carry its weapons. The same with the F-15I most of the differance betwqeen the E and the I are internal and with the types of weapons the I carries . I'm not sure if there are any Python 3/4  missiles available in 1/32 scale but it doesn't hurt to check with the local Hobby store to see if there are any they can order, probably in resin .
