a strange phenomenon is it psychological or logical? Teachers get paid once a month
for years it was always the last working day of every month
this year, our district changed it to the 20th every month
now it seems like my money goes farther? Am I spending less, maybe a little less on food but not specifically
is it because there is a few less days between checks?
this is just weird but cool at the same time
Wow, she must be using that "new math" in her classrooms. If you are still getting paid once a month, then your first paycheck will arrive a little bit earlier than expected, but then she is going to have the same amount of time between paychecks from that point forward.
I really don't understand how their paydays seem to have such an effect on how they perceive their money
They are still getting the same amount per month, they should just have to juggle their budget a bit to adjust for the new dates. I get paid bi-monthly, and it works well, but I can't imagine that getting paid weekly or monthly would make much of an impact on me.
(I don't like this smilie as much as other tongue smilies
