Title: Re-covered kitchen chairs

Had to stick around home this weekend, so did a small project that I needed to do.

I bought these two hard, ugly, but sturdy chairs a couple months ago.

Then I picked up this hide (might mean something different to me than others  :whatever:).

Thought I wanted one color, but it looked awful once on.  So, I just dug some beige from the shop and trimmed whatever that's supposed to be on the back in green.  Padded the seats and put the cowhide on.  I like it.

I have a big, old, bull Hereford hide on the couch and I'm going to re-cover the cushions on a glider rocker that sits in a guest room with this remaining hide.  Pretty soon you won't be able to tell if you're in the house or still at the corrals.   :-)  Works for me!

The American Pickers found a refrigerated cooler finished in cowhide.
I think they brought it to their Nashville store.
It would match perfectly.

Hmmm... don't tempt me.   ::)

We like our cows.  Inside and out.  I have a nurse renting a room from me who feeds the deer at her home in the Black Hills and "can't imagine anyone shooting one of those magnificent creatures."  I've fed her venison twice without her knowing it.  We'll see if she catches these.  lol  But, a fridge.  Surely she'd notice.

I like the chairs....and the floor and what I can see of the corner fireplace.
