$3.60/gal today.  $30 for gas and $53 for cigarettes.

$3.39/9/gal.....$49 for gas and $31.09 for cigarettes....just ruined a $100 bill.

A hundred dollar bill used to be real money. It seems to me it's like a $10.00 bill from my high school days.

There is something scary about that statement but I am not sure just what, the fact of a kid having ten bucks in hs or that it is now only worth one thenth what it was whenever that was.

Of course gas was around a quarter a gallon or less when I was in hs so maybe that is where I am having the difficulty understanding why a kid would need that kind of dough in hs.  I could drive all week on a two dollar bill.   :-)  'Course I did have Fiat which got great mileage when being pushed. :rotf:

I'm not usually the one filling the gas tanks, but in the last week I've been out when they were close to empty, and being the wonderful sweet companion/mother that I am...I put gas in their cars...a whole bunch! $75 in the Tahoe and $55 in the Grand Cherokee...and that didn't fill up either one!  :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

I'm checking the gas gauge before I use their cars again!!!!  :thatsright:

Last night at work, I spoke with a woman from upstate NY near Lake Ontario. She heats her house with oil and she just went off about the politicians and the fact that Obama isn't drilling here. She's hoping for a "change" come November. I really wanted to ask if she had voted for Obama.  :whistling:

Not what I want happening in my mouth thank you very much.

This has been a very light year for heating here in the North East.  But do not mistake that to mean it has been cheap.  I was just by a local fuel oil distributor who was displaying the following:  $ 3.68 /gal  for heating oil. ( No. 2 Dyed I assume )

I just ordered a topoff of my oil tank.  $3.599.  Up 45 cents from my last fillup less than six weeks ago, and almost a dollar since my first fill in November.

Filled my diesel tank last summer as I knew the "Bummer" was out to **** us farmers. I paid $2.25. Glad I bought it when I did! It's damn near $3 now, and that's for Farm Diesel! It's without 28¢ hwy taxes that the gubmint is so generous to not make us pay! We still have to pay the feds though! Pricks!

Dunno about now, but didn't you used to get the Fed tax back by filing a "farm use" statement with your 1040?

I seem to remember that from when I had to do the farm taxes......I also remember getting a refund of taxes paid on aviation fuel by filing a similiar "non-highway use" form.

Only a portion nowadays. They say we still use the hwy system in order to get our goods to market and recieve products so we need to pay for the use and convenience. The state of Idaho hasn't followed suit it yet, but if I were in Kalifornica I'd bet it would be a different story.

I am down to my last four hundred pounds of pellets and will probably have to have another fill as well.  I figure about 150 gallons for the rest of the year which includes heat and hot water.

Then there is the diesel for the MH  :whistling:  90 gallon tank which cost 3.79 per last fall which was up almost exactly a buck from the fall before.

$3.59 yesterday afternoon and this evening after work it was $3.84.  Coincidentally , Obama talked about NOT drilling and raising taxes on the oil companies yesterday. Effin' moron.

It went from $3.69 this morning to $3.73 on my way home from work.  Which means premium is $3.93.  I'll be paying $70 a tank next time I fill up.  ::)

We're almost set to break the record of most expensive prices we've ever seen here. The record was 1.466/L or 5.54/G for regular.

Regular is 1.397/L, 5.28/G
Diesel is 1.397/L, 5.28/G

Fuel is usually cheaper here this time of year, but we've seen it increase for the last 8 (or 9 I forget) weeks every time it's reset. I'm fully expecting 6.00/G fuel by summer.

Crazy.

It went up 30 cents in two days.

We're planning on a short in-state vacation this summer.  Now consider that a tank of gas at $4.50 a gallon is going to run close to $85-90 for a tank, and that going from here to, say, Pittsburg and back, the usual running around, etc., will be 2-3 tanks, so we're looking at AT LEAST $250 on gas.

TO STAY IN THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.

Explain this one to me, someone.  Anyone.  Please.

O'reilly said the gas crunch is making people sick of owebuma. What took them so long ?

Yet he seems to be doing everything he can to shift the blame from the president and blame the oil companies with just out right distortion of the oil companies.
