Hello fellow conservatives!!!

Wow, that made me sound like a DU mole, didn't it?  I assure you, I've been vetted by Chris.  A little about me.....

I'm a 40-year-old lifelong Republican and 16-year veteran civilian police officer in the Dallas, Texas area.  Prior to that I was a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army for 7 years.  I'm a member of the Metrocrest Republican Club here in north Dallas and am a Founding Member of the George W. Bush Library, which I'm proud to say will be right here in Dallas!

I've spent a good portion of today reading threads here.  I didn't know you existed until someone on DU posted a link.  I've been a silent lurker on their site from back in the days when Protest Warrior was battling them.  I've been going to Free Republic for several years, but the stories are a little to far out there at times to make me a consistent user.  I notice a lot of Tea Party members here......no, I'm not a Tea Partier.  I may share my reasons later.

I am a Master Mason and a Shriner, so shouts to all my brothers and fellow Nobles!   :cheersmate:

Vetted by Chris?  Is that a good thing?

Vetted = checked to see if they're not spammers and have legitimate IP/email addresses.  That's usually as far as it goes.

Welcome!!

Any chance you have a member in your RepClub, named Pam, a realtor, in her early 60's but looks like early 50's?

Hey neighbor, I'm just up the road in Denton.

I understand keeping your workplace out of everything. That's the kind of thing they would do.

Unfortunately, I'm a paper warrior with them.  I joined for the newsletter to keep up on local activities.  They have meetings on Wednesday nights and I do volunteer work every Wednesday night.  :(

Welcome TC!!! I lived in the Metroplex for 12 years and worked in Law Enforcement somewhere between Ft. Worth and Dallas and that's all I feel comfortable saying. :-)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
