Hi, My name is Kyle...
« on: January 19, 2011, 07:15:12 PM »
and I'm a Ramblerholic, that's right, I drink Ramblerhol
I love cars, I've got two AMC Eagles, one KAmmback with 300,000 miles that is my project, and I daily drive an 83 Eagle Wagon (until i can find somebody to buy her so I can get something older and easier to work on)

Oddly enough I found this site when I typed in My Strange Addiction Furry on Google, and I remembered I need to keep up on politics through a site that isn't a hot rodding site haha.

FIgured I'd introduce myself
BTW, I'm an 8-Track collecting, 70s style nut, who is also a conservative (well, duh, why else would I be on this site)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I wonder if my father still has his 8-tracks.  He has a large three-piece bureau and I remember most of it was full of tapes.

Can you still find Chrysler/Jeep parts for that AMC?

It's hard with a lot of the parts, but engine is pretty easy to get parts for, but if I need to replace my oil pan, I'm screwed, Eagles needed different oil pans, that nobody makes anymore, due to the front axle

Yeah, I've got over 250 8-Tracks, that I listen to often, I got most of those dirt cheap

I had a motorcycle like that.  It was a three-year-only run and a custom model at that.  I'm kinda glad it got stolen so I don't have to wander all over Goshen looking for parts.

The Sabre was an interesting bike.  I had a contemporary Shadow that I really liked (it was an '84).  Here's my ex-motorcycle.... I bought a Datsun with the insurance money after it disappeared.

If you Google 'conservative forum', we show up between #4 and #6.  Also, we got a big bump from the RedState mention earlier this week. :)

My husband has a 1967 Camaro that had the original 8-track player, but he has a hard time finding tapes so he installed a modern stereo system.  Gosh, I know the youngsters on here, for the most part, won't even know what an 8-track is.
