My name is shawn and I would probably consider myself more liberal than conservative. I found out just how tolerant liberal sites like DU and KOS  and I got booted after I dared question libs POV's

I learned just last week, that a few people on this site defended me after my banning at DU and I just wanted to say thanks.

Although I must be honest, we are an equal opportunity board...we treat all jerks alike, conservative or liberal, so as long as you aren't a jerk, you should be just fine!

Now you have something in common with Elizabeth Edwards ('cept she wasn't banned - she banned herself).  It must be terrible to be unsuspectingly confronted with the ugliness that is hardcore liberalism. 

Type-2 liberalism (aka DUmmies) is almost always a byproduct of a hated-filled soul, emotional retardation, childlike logic refusal, intellectual emptiness, moral blinders, and mental illness (that's on one plate, not a buffet).

Actuallly I'm not sure If I consider myself all liberal. I am on the fence on abortion, I hate the fairness doctrine, affirmative action, but I support universal healthcare and stem cell research, so I guess I am a left leaning independent.

lol, lord Undies. No problem. This looks like a pretty cool site. Even though my pov might be perceived as liberal, I actually blog at conservative sites. I find them more friendly than the rabid libs.

Few perfectly fit under conservative or liberal labels, there's always been lots of grey.  It's the fun area  :-)  Some staunch conservatives strongly support stem cell research.  While many others, support 'healthcare reform'.

I guess I went at this thing bassackwards, posting first, and not introducing myself. My name is Di, I am a business owner, work at home, just turned 43, and am a Conservative. Hi Rich,

I would not consider it for my family, I hate abortion, I agree with partial birth abortion being illegal.  On the other hand I believe a person should be able to abort a child in the situation of rape or incest, or if they knew the child would be born with a  serious birth defect.

Like I said, I spend quite a bit of time on conservative blogs. Many of them consider the fetus a person and all life is sacred regardless of the circumstances. When I do get into heated debates with conservatives, it is usually against social conservatives.

Few things in real life are truely black and white.  There are indeed shades of gray.

I have never understood that "rape and incest" exclusion.  Seriously.  I don't understand why those little lives are worth nothing.  It seems inconsistent.
