I'll bet ron paul is a lot of fun at parties. :whatever:  I guess this is his "sane" answer.

recession!  depression!  neocon slime!  the housing bust is because of iraq!!

He has a blimp.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

And Thompson finally firing back... saying he had Rudy's plan before Rudy did :)

yeah, but then his answer was all over the map.  and record setting tax revenues doesn't necessarily
indicate a healthy economy;  it indicates a healthy federal treasury.

Yeah, i kind of got happy with the first part of the answer before he got done with the rest of it... Although I think he picked the right year for pointing out that '01 was high revenue and a healthy economy.

And now McCain slamming Teddy "Bridge to Nowhere" Stevens?   He's not going to have too many friends when this campaign is over.

Wow.. everyone but Romney and Thompson saying that conservativism is dead!?!?

I mean they all just about admitted it (although they haven't gotten Guliani's and Paul's comment).

WOW!!  and Thompson just called Huckabee a Democrat!!

But he got no response from the crowd on that one.... and he definitely got owned by Thompson on that exchange.

Basically, Huckabee just showed his true colors...  he's got a moderate-republican agenda, and his only response to hte charges was "my people elected me"...(and tried to take a shot at Reagan in the process)..   Guliani doing a good job of saying that he may different from Reagan's policy, but he's as good a leader...

LOL!!!

did you catch the pained look on mitt's face during paul's tirade against western civilization?

it was priceless.  it seemed to be a mixture of disgust and pity for the crazy old bastard.

I think Mitt wanted to respond.. but Brit took a commercial break...

1st break:    Leaders   :  Thompson, Romney
2nd:    Guliani
3rd:     McCain
4th:     Paul
5th:     Huckabee (who's been roasted twice on stage now.. once by his own bumbling, and once by FT).
