State of the Union: Barack gets an F for world leadership.

check out that comment I left.

I like that guy.

Quote
Obama’s world leadership in his first year in office has been weak-kneed and little short of disastrous. He has sacrificed the projection of American power upon the altar of political vanity, with empty speeches and groveling apologies across the world, from Strasbourg to Cairo. He has appeased some of America’s worst enemies, and has extended the hand of friendship to many of the most odious regimes on the face of the earth. Judging by the State of the Union address tonight, we can expect more of the same from an American president who seems determined to lead the world’s greatest power along a path of decline.

I'm pretty sure that George Soros had a hand in his selection, and Soros is a well known socialist.
I think you're underestimating the guy.  He's much worse that just a common socialist.  This guy's ego is ten times the size of bhozo's.  Take a look at how he got to where he is today, insider trading and schemes to devalue England's currency make up the majority of his wealth.  The only plausible reasoning behind his philanthropy and issues he supports is to get his one world gov't in place so that common people won't be able to financially rise up like he did, and like it or not, money is power.  There's not toilet/sewer system that could handle flushing a piece of sh!t his size.

So he lied about the SC ruling, huh? ...Why didn't one of them shout, "You lie".
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong.

This was a constitutional decision. Unless he has in mind an amendment to the Constitution, there isn't much they can do legally. This case concerned political advertising, not contributions.

From the SCOTUS decision:

Quote
When Government seeks to use its full power, including the criminal law, to command where a person may get his or her information or what distrusted source he or she may not hear, it uses censorship to control thought. This is unlawful. The First Amendment confirms the freedom to think for ourselves.

(Read Justice Scalia's decision- he addresses Stevens' discussion of the Founding Fathers intent. Brilliant!)

The audacity of leftist democrat presidents who rebuke the Constitution they are supposed to uphold and protect. I'm sure he thought by calling out the Supreme Court in such a high profile venue that he could garner public support to sway them. He couldn't be more wrong. It's hard to believe that he asked for their support to "fix" a problem "they created" with that ruling.

He might not have shouted it...but Justice Alito certainly said it.

Hi Thundley,

Funny but I paused when I made that post last night and thought about Soros.  My thoughts were that it was a Soros state of the union message.  What the hell did we expect BO to say really?  He was trying to do the same thing that Chavez did in Venezuela and the American people are on to him, a few days before the state of the union message they nailed him in MA.  Oops!

If one still could find their old decoder rings they would have been handy.  He said something about not being a quitter and not giving up on health care from what I read in the paper.  Now does that not decode to "shit! we almost pulled it off.  I won't quit trying to shove it down the people's throat when they are not looking!"

This is not time for the public to relax, we need our tea party movement to get stronger and LOUDER.  We are going to be in Washington on 8/28 with Glenn Beck making our point.

regards,

Whoops!

A look at some of Obama's claims and how they compare with the facts:

THE FACTS: The anticipated savings from the [spending freeze] proposal would amount to less than 1 percent of the deficit — and that's if the president can persuade Congress to go along.

OBAMA: Discussing his health care initiative, he said, "Our approach would preserve the right of Americans who have insurance to keep their doctor and their plan."

THE FACTS: The Democratic legislation now hanging in limbo on Capitol Hill aims to keep people with employer-sponsored coverage — the majority of Americans under age 65 — in the plans they already have. But Obama can't guarantee people won't see higher rates or fewer benefits in their existing plans.

The important point is the total.......only about 29 million viewers in total viewed the speech......I think that the final episode of last years "American Idol" drew that share or better......

Dunno.....but Neilsen gives viewer numbers for every fifteen minutes of programming......I wonder, if 29 million started to watch it, how many were still there at the end.......I would bet less than half....

Okay....here is what I got out of Zero's speech last night.

1.  He basically told Republican senators to "get in line" and stop voting NO.
2.  He insulted the SCOTUS and got democrats to stand up and applaud it.
3.  He is the usual cocky SOB elitist thug.
4.  He is going to continue on with his plans, regardless of the Massachussetts outcome, or political setbacks.
5.  He has no intention of moving to the center.
6.  He has no regard for the will of the people, as most dictators don't.
7.  He is going to increase spending this year, but freeze it next year.
8.  His veto pen has no ink.

After watching the speech last night, it just made me hate Obama more.

He said the same things he always says. He pointed fingers at everyone for all the problems, and only blamed himself for not explaining things better to the American people.
What a load of crap.

Charles Krauthammer just said that his policy on trying enemy combatants in civilian courts as idiotic.

Obama blatantly lied about the court decision overturning McCain/Feingold would allow foreign entities.

Obama blames Bush for the defecit, yet he tripled it, and voted for TARP.

He throws a bone to his liberal base with his gay service rederic. Gay people can serve, as long as they don't share their gayness. WTF is the problem there?

---------

Obama had a moment to admit mistakes, change course, but instead he wants to stay his liberal course. I figured he was smarter than that.
Fine, not a wise decision. It just means people will vote his ass out.
