content in your OP. I didn't unrec it, but I could see someone doing it.
How do you know it's a "freep"? And really, does it matter?

I'm sorry about your loss, but Rec vs. Unrec status on DU hardly changes the world.

OP was crap is not enough excuse to deviate from the herd.

29. I think recs & unrecs should be public.

A rec or unrec should post a new post to the thread which gets visibly tagged one way or the other. You can then choose whether you actually want to say something or just type k+r or whatever, but you can't rec or unrec anonymously then.

Of course it should be easy to identify the free thinkers and put them up on the wall ban then from DU.

Lots of threads over there...

The Unrecommend Feature SILENCES Free Speech and Dissent.
The unrecommend function drastically favors those who blog for groups
To recommend or unrecommend, that is the question
Which DU feature do you fear may be abused more than the others?
With unrec, effort that could go into smart discussion will instead go into electronic tug-of-war.
Why did anyone WANT an "unrecommend" feature, anyway?
The anti-single payer/anti-public option forces seem to LOVE the new unrecommend feature.....
Now that right-wing DU'ers can "unrecommend" threads off the greatest page
The unrec feature is simply a tool to keep divergent opinions off the greatest page
I Concede The Following To The Anti-Unrec Crowd: W/o Unrec, This Thread Never Would Have Made It...
As I think this new feature is far too prone to abuse
The new Recommend/Unrecommend system--Yea or Nay?

It's like a mental hospital over there and the patients have just been given a new jello flavor. On the walls and floors it goes!

Sorry DUmbasses - those who have moles are smart enough to know how to detect a mole trap. Those with longstanding moles also have a healthy case of neophobia when posting over there. Its well known that nearly every new feature become a detection tool. Those who are Unrec'ing A.S. threads are most likely your primitive brethren.
