These people really don't get it. You boost minimum wage too high and this is what you get. In a good number of cases it's either that tax or letting some employees go to reduce overhead.
Yep. Raising the minimum wage across the board raised every input across the board, not just the store labor...it goes into the price of every new piece of equipment, every pound of beef, every case of buns, every case of fries, every bag and cup, every kilowatt-hour the store uses, etc., etc., etc. Pretty soon the people getting $15 per hour start bitching about how it isn't really a living wage...
