Additionally, a note from your Moderator:

The lounge is for friendly day to day chit chat, picture threads, interests that relate to day to day life, and news stories of the weird and wild that aren't necessarily breaking news or political matters. All I ask is you be friendly and respectful when you come in here and try to picture how you would behave if you sat down to share coffee with a friend.

With that said, here is the list:

1. Light profanity is fine -- just don't go overboard.

2. Keep in mind if a lounge thread gets too 'adult', it will be shipped to The Short Bus/NSFW. I will warn in advance that I'm pretty liberal with this definition so don't expect me to move happy hour threads regularly. Links to pornographic and sexuality explicit sites meant for those only over the age of 18 will be deleted.

3. Don't post someone's personal info. Real first names are ok, but be positive that this is ok with that individual if you address them by that on the forum.

4. This is not a topic for great debates. Leave that for the other forums or the Fight Club. Start another topic to debate in a more appropriate room if something sets you off here. Threads that become contentious will be moved to the appropriate area. The lounge is for the lighter side of life or the more mundane at least--no politics!! If a public figure chaps your hide, go for it in the rants and rave forum. The lounge is generally a place to get AWAY from politics and the current idiocy therein. Posts will either be deleted or moved to the appropriate forum.

5. Resolve personal issues in PM, please. If you have an issue with someone, please discuss this with them privately and don't take the passive aggressive route and poke them on every thread they are in on this forum.

5. Any issues with a post please let me know and likewise any issues with something I moderate, please do the same.

6. Have fun and enjoy the lounge or else.

A side note from one of your Admins: Please don't quote pictures unless they are absolutely germane to the conversation. They eat up bandwidth and cause the pages to load slower. Thanks.
