after which blah-blah-blah explaining how to contribute
There's three primitives listed, and so I went to see how they're doing.
First, there is Are Grits Groceries:

I need help. I live on a pension, and I don't have health insurance.
I don't have anybody else to depend on even for little things like running errands. I live with 2 sixteen year old cats who need certain medicine and food to maintain a decent life. They need tests right now to check and readjust their meds and such.
Everything has happened at once. My car needs a new alternator. I am marooned now.
I have to get new glasses. My eyes are so bad that an exam and glasses cost about $500. I have put this off, but I am now unable to perform many basic tasks.
I have been treated for depression for decades. It has grown much worse, and I need to see my psychiatrist for several visits before it gets completely out of hand. I need about $1000 to pay for these unexpected expenses.
I have tried every other avenue I can think of. I thought I was going to make it through, but I was in denial or something. I should be panicking and screaming or help. I am out of energy and I just don't care. By the time I may get enough energy to care, it will probably be much worse. HELP!

Second, there is stewert:

For the last 3 years I was living with my 89 year old Father and taking care of him 24/7 because he had Alzheimers and Dementia. Then he got sick and passed away on May 14th, so now I am in his home all alone paying the house payment, truck, gas & lights, and the Cable/Phone/Internet bills.
I filed for SSI in December of 2012 and it was denied in June, so I am going through the appeal process. And the law firm working on my case tells me I should have a ruling by November. So I need to raise about $2.000.00 by November 10th, to pay my bills of $1.000.00 a month.
I am unemployed with a bad back from back surgery, and other medical problems, so even if I could work it will be almost impossible for me to find a job under my restrictions. For now, I just need to make it to November, and then hopefully SSI will approve my appeal.

But now stewert has added this:
9/8/13 UPDATE: $1000 has been raised, so another $1000 is needed. Ideally another $1300 could be raised since an unexpected insurance expense has arisen.Third, there is Lady Freedom Returns:

I was in the Joplin Tornado of 2011. My Significant Other and I were having rough times at that point as it was. He was getting sick at the time and was told the V.A in Tucson would be a good place to go for him to get better. However things started to encroach into our relationship. He decided that after 10 years I was not enough for him. I ended up back in Joplin Mo.
I cannot stay here due to old family grievances. We never got along and they are not helping me. As of Sept. 7, I will have worked off all my debt to many people here that I have acquired at this point and will be ready to go home to Tucson. However it will leave me with very little to live on.
My dream at this point is to get back to Tucson (Oct. 5th that is going to happen), learn to drive, get back behind a studio camera, and get a nice Studio Apartment. But while I am trying to get this going, I just need some money to get food, other basics, and maybe a Motel room for a night since I will arrive on a Sunday morning and the offices I need are closed. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Why are the primitives being such tightwads?
