Nice!  It looks like you have somewhere interesting to drive it.

My youngest daughter can teach you how to drive it.
Here, she's teaching her niece.....
Milo is in the back seat.  Maren has already taught him how, years ago.

It's been a little while but I thought I'd add that I put a 2.5" lift on the Jeep (springs). The 20 YO springs were getting flat and would bottom out. I've been taking it out, and my wife has seen the "advantages" of getting to places without having to hike.  :-)

I need to post some new pics. I just got some new rims, 15 X 8's and my daughters boy friends dad gave me a set of 33 X 12.5s' (about 50% tread left) :yahoo: Put them on last night.

As she is now with the lift and the 33's. The "spot" is along the West Branch of the Feather River, about 45 min from my house.

*update*

Added a 1 1/4" body lift and a Teralow 4:1 kit to the transfer case. Now I have true 4:1 ratio 4 wheel low= crawler gears. The original box was only 2.5 :1  not good for boulders which is allot of where I go.

This is a BAD section into Morris Lake, very steep. Some of the trail is almost this rough, but doable.

Not my pic, btw.

Thanks; it's very much appreciated when one updates everybody, as some of us remain curious for a very long time.

There's somebody else here, for example, who was restoring a boat, but it's been years and years since he's said anything about it.

That was probably me, but it turned out to more than I want to deal with. I'll probably dispose of the hull, keeping the trailer and outboard to sell.

How is the jeep coming along?

Added a 12000 Lb winch to the front bumper. It's a Harbor freight unit but got very good reviews.

It probably slid down the rocks.  Boats don't do well off-road ;)

The wife and I went camping overnight. Took the Jeep into the High Lakes (Ca.) and made it past the "staircase".  This is a shot after I came through, the guys behind me needed a spotter.

Maybe he sank?

Well the boat in question I scrapped at the local landfill. I did keep the trailer, narrowed and shortened it to make an off road trailer.

Pic of it "mocked up". The bed is from a late 20's early 30's Dodge truck. The tires are the ones that came with the Jeep when I bought it, and they have the same bolt pattern as the boat trailer. Score!

It's not done yet but will have a Mahogany deck in it. (1" X "6 planks)

Call me skeptical but I don't think it will stay afloat very long.

Thought I'd add a couple of "finished product" pictures. Made fenders, got some Military tail lights from a local surplus place including the fiberglass storage box.
I think it came out pretty good!

You going to paint it, and what color?

Were the fenders welded on, or bolted on?

Yep, looks like a real work of art!

Bolted on, just in case. The storage I'm leaving in it's "natural" OD Green state.
