Did any of them mention that up to 850,000 Americans died of the Spanish flu? Was that Wilson's fault?
Yup. And then, when he deployed the troops, he spread it to the European theater if I read history correctly.
Two small vignettes:
1) My grandfather always swore he survived the Spanish Flu by taking horse medication (off label of course
).
B) I was the sickest I have ever been with the Hong Kong Flu in the winter of 68/9. My roommate and I were waiting to move into our new apartment, we were living in a tawdry daily / hourly 'boarding' house w/ shared bathroom, the manager had
lots of nieces. I was taking the new wonder cure Nyquil cold and flu remedy. It was putrid.
