16. Really, it doesn't matter. Most Mods don't make ANY gender specific comments like SIR and MAME.

It is uncessary. And the assumption of gender is simply pretentiousness, enjoyed because DUers cannot complain about the mods in threads.

First of all, this whole thread is a complaint about a moderator. Secondly, that moderator has carelessly addressed me as female, even though my profile on DU says I'm male. I make a similar mistake with someone about once a month, probably. It doesn't mean anything, and you are just making a big deal out of it. I still don't know whether you identify as male or female, nor do I care.

In short, get over yourself.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell it's (trying to be gender/species neutral so as not to offend) so upset about. Seriously, it's upset because someone called it ma'am? That is so earth shattering that it's gone into meltdown tantrum mode? Is it too painful to be identified by gender because it has confusion over which gender it belongs? My it's easy to engender outrage going over there.
