Media Conspiracy Theory. Tell me I'm wrong...

Watching the Coronavirus coverage, I was struck by something strange.

All I've heard about in the media is California, Washington State and New York...yet, when MSNBC put up a map of suspected or confirmed cases, they showed almost as many in Texas and Florida.

You don't suppose our media would highlight problems in Blue States and downplay problems in Red States, would you?

In the past, I would not think it, but then again, in the past I never thought an unqualified, corrupt, insane man with a shaved Golden Retriever butt for a hairdo would be the "leader of the Free world".

I wonder if the media is trying to make this seem that it's just a problem in what the Fuhrer describes as "shitholes"

the Media will drag it's feet as long as they can. Our Visitors Bureau will do it's best to kill off any reported cases. So far the reporting says,out break of Flu Cases.

The folks running the Casino's are scared shitless because their big whales are not coming to drop big dollars as per our Neighbor who runs Security at one of the Joints on the Strip.

I heard the Chinese developed this virus to target people with HIV-compromised immune systems and that is why they have been treating people with drugs normally used to treat HIV-positive patients.

There have been no confirmed cases in Florida, at least not yet.
I am a Floridian myself, a teacher's assistant, and late yesterday afternoon, I got a prerecorded message from the local schoolboard's alert service for educators and parents (i.e. to inform us if school is cancelled due to a hurricane or something) that there have been no confirmed cases of the virus in Florida. I even double- checked online just before making this message, and there have STILL not been any confirmed cases in Florida.

I'm not sure what exactly blacks have to do with HIV and Covid-19, but per 2010 census numbers, SF has less than half the average national percentage of blacks in its population. Maybe you're thinking of Oakland, though the percentage of blacks there, while about double the national average, is also declining.

I guess today's Los Angeles Marathon was too 'vital for lib prestige' to cancel.  Thousands of entries, dozens of thousands along the 26-mile route. 

The takeaway:  There was probably nothing to worry about in the first place. 

Though in the case of Austin cancelling the SBSW Festival... promoters were probably persuaded to accept a quid pro quo from the usual DNC-conglomerations... to make the Trump & Abbott Administrations look bad.

It's a week and a half later, and ...

--> Guess which state has had the most Covid-19 deaths, so far ... Washington

--> Guess which state just decided to quarantine an entire town because scores of infected people live there ... New York

--> Guess which state has counties banning large public gatherings like sporting events and concerts ... California

While jabs could be made about these states' Lib/Prog governance, their large number of international companies, significant populations of people from China (where this coronavirus originated), and multiple major international airports. If there's any conspiracy in the MSM's focus on those three states, if was a conspiracy of reality; when it comes to matters political, DU is a Conspiracy of Paranoid Stupidity.

Closer to my home, one of the two (last I heard) people who have died of Covid-19 in California died here. Because of this and related factors, Santa Clara County has shut down all public gatherings larger than 1000 people - no large concerts, no Sharks or Barracudas hockey home games, no medium- or large-sized running events, such as the one I was going to do this coming Saturday.

Black population tends to have higher HIV infections than white devils. They also inhabit inner cities with higher frequency as do the gay population.
