Title: New stem cell thread
Post by: EagleKeeper on July 29, 2013, 09:18:26 PM
Agreed, there certainly were some.  However there was also some with very vocal opposition to any stem cell treatment, which were whom I was referencing.

I don't remember any "very vocal opposition to any stem cell treatment" what I do remember is resistance to embryonic stem cells. The discovery of stem sells was a rather wide thing, embryonic, adult and fetal cord.

The vocal opposition that you speak of was, I believe, embryonic stem cells because it had a ready audience as it should have had and did.

But any idea of widespread opposition to any stem cell research is a canard.

If I remember correctly....and I think I do.....the big stink was that Mr. Bush stopped stem cell research.....which he didn't do. He stopped federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. So, in fact, he didn't even stop embryonic stem cell research, just federal funding of it.

Yes, Thanks JR. It's coming back to me.

The left jumped on embryonic stem cells like flies on rice hoping upon hope that it would be the promised land of advancing their abortion agenda. Libs hardly ever look before they leap. Look at the Zimmerman case. There should be nothing but ashamed libs now, but they won't let it go, say they were wrong and be done with it. No, they have to keep pushing when their leap into the empty pool of Zimmerman brought them up into credibility quadripliqicy.

In all honesty, I don't understand stem Cell research, and what it is supposed to accomplish, and why the Government has anything to do with it... I always see come up at voting time, yet , I don't get it... :???:
