Twitter announced the permanent suspension of President Trump’s account Friday, following months of flagging his tweets with warnings -- and days of action after the company said he violated its policies.
"After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence," the company wrote in a blog post.
Look, a private company can do as they please. However, given their monopolistic stranglehold on technology and prohibiting certain views is incredibly troubling.
Predicted in the aftermath of November 3rd and beyond that free speech will be stifled. And it doesn't just begin with Twitter/Facebook/Google, it will expand far beyond.

Twitter is banning 1000's of conservatives. youtube is banning conservatives. Facebook will likely follow suit and ban people for the smallest infractions.
Parler was down for awhile because so many people signing up and trying to log on.

Predicted this in one of Frank's threads a while ago. Not only do the fascist left want to ban President Trump, but Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and anyone who strays from the party propaganda of leftist communist party.
One wonders where and when the ACLU might weigh in on this. Or perhaps their coffers have been silenced by Big Tech to silence them similarly.

It's certainly a dark dark day.
I gotta sleep on it. Monumental decisions to be made.

I never made a Twitter account. I deleted my Facebook account a year ago. I’m about to delete my Instagram account.
It’s time to just go to websites that allow free speech, like CC.
I’m tired. I’m tired of the hypocrisy. I’m tired of the control some of these companies have. The only way we have to fix it is to affect their bottom line.
I stopped watching football (something I dearly loved) 4 years ago. Now that seems to finally be a thing. We as a people have to just say NO! When they start losing money they’ll understand.
Just my 2¢

To each their own. I've signed up for Twitter a few times, but it only seems like a cesspool and has for a long time. Facebook is acceptable to me personally, because I have never posted anything political. Just pithy crap about sports, wishing old friends happy birthday, and to promote my side gig occasionally.
As a free market capitalist, this entire ban hammer thing by social media troubles me. According to Twitter's official narrative, President Trump "created the perception" of encouraging violence. Which is absolute horse hockey.
It isn't going to end soon or well, I'm afraid.

Twitter grew because of President Donald Trump. I have seen Twitter and it is a cesspool.
