Anyone else catch this from the FNC story:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/11/07/house-passes-health-care/
And both programs are either insolvent or soon will be.  Yay, Nancy.

And the fact that 39 democrats voted against this bill just demonstrates the strong arm tactics (and possibly threats) from the Pelosi team didn't work on everyone.

There will indeed be a bloodbath in 010. Most districts, with the exception of liberal strongholds, will go R.

I watched Randi Rhodes on the Joy Behar show....she said the only reason McConnell and Christie won over their democrat counterpart is because they were moderates and didn't run on social issues.  I didn't follow their campaigns, is any part of this true?

McConnell won because Deeds was a creep a-hole who openly admitted on tape that he had the most pork in Richmond. People chose McDonnell in spite of the negative campaign against him that dredged up his old college paper that talked about women in a less than enlightened way.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I wonder when we will sell Alaska to China to get out of debt.

I don't mean that rhetorically.

So I guess the "teabaggers" meme worked.  Democrats felt that they could ignore the majority of Americans who did not want this bill because "they're just teabaggers."

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. sure, we voted, and so did they. but the difference is: it's their job to REPRESENT us in congress, not vote however the hell they want.  That's why the title is REPRESENTATIVE.

Over 50% of the nation doesn't want this bill, but they chose to shove it down our throats anyway.  That's not representation.  In fact, with the higher burden that this will place on the average taxpayer (not that you would know, because I doubt you have a job to pay taxes from), this bill is morally tantamount to strongarm robbery.

I think that it's more like 80% that DO NOT want this public health care option ESPECIALLY with the potential for fines and imprisonment. Quite honestly, I would like to see a public referendum on this legislation. It's obvious that our Representatives no longer represent their constituents. IF the US is going to go a further 1½ TRILLION in debt, I THINK that it's citizens really ought to have a say in the matter.

I think this is a violation of state's rights. Massachusetts already has universal healthcare. Don't take this I am for this because I am opposed to it.

Worse than that, it is a violation of personal rights.

Well, at least I have a ray of sunshine in my district....

My dimrat rep, who is FOR cap and trade (here in the heart of coal country), was one of the 39 that said NO to government health care....

The Government has no right to force anyone to get insurance. It is not a power invested to them to do so you stupid widow licking freak. .
