NH Primary: McCain and Obama leading ..
« on: January 07, 2008, 11:38:24 PM »
Granted, its just started about 30 minutes ago in the first primary in the country in Dixville, NH .. interestingly, in one of Frank Luntz's polls with the people, the liberals indicated that McCain was the GOPs strongest contender.

ALL the liberals there agreed and said McCain had too many strengths to get around for their candidates. Anyone else see this?

One of them actually called him 'reagan-esqu' in that he's like 'everybody's grandpa' and has a solid statesmanship with real experience that their side will have a tough time beating..

He does seem to have a spark lately about him..

How would people feel about McCain now...? Personally, I was hoping Fred would rally, but I havent seen it yet..

I do not like McCain because of the McCain-Feingold law. I am not comfortable with anyone who is willing to abridge freedom of speech.

I am despairing.  McCain!?   Given his track record, (bribery, then the McCain Feingold law) who could vote for him?

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Fox  and CNN are already pronouncing McCain as the leader with less than 10% of precints reporting...

Clinton and Obama are too tight to call yet..

ABC was doing that this morning before those people in New Hampshire even woke up.  Two little towns voted after midnight and they were telling us to expect a landslide.

This is the first time McCain has won New Hampshire since he won in 2000.  It was meaningless then and it is meaningless now.

I am bothered by the fact that democrats are coming out and voting in droves this year.  Nearly 2 to 1 in NH right now....

If this is an indication to November's GE we're   :censored:

can the Dems vote in our primary in NH? it is interesting that they didnt have enough ballots for people to vote.

CNN had a poll asking if people were watching the primaries and the overwhelming majority said, "yes, its very interesting to me" by more than 60 percent last time i saw it..

i guess that means the citizens are not in fact 'asleep' as the Dems so often accuse..

I'm listening to this drivel from Edwards now on FNC, saying how he's going to work to 'save' the environment. Gimme a break. I could see that if there was a crisis, but there isn't, except for the phony one Al Gore has manufactured.

One of the steps of liberals anonymous goes something like, "The earth is not your mother and she is not dying."

And why are they giving him so much attention, he lost this round (again).

I am very skeptical of polls. I wonder if that poll was asked by CNN viewers, or just who was asked.

If those were CNN viewers, then that answer came predominantly from Democrats, which I can understand. They have lost the last 2 presidential elections and are about psychotic about getting one back in the WH. It would be natural for them to be "into" the primaries this time around.

I sure the hell hope it doesn't happen though, a Dhimocrat in the WH.

They just shake out the dead leaves at the end of the branches, because they are first.

Other than that, they are meaningless in the modern era.

dang, i didnt know that.

i find it odd that Hilary is 'almost out of money' with 15 to 25 million still on hand.
