How is it that we've managed to elect some of the stupidest people in the country to high office? Another example would be the lone guy who voted to keep Blago. He looked and sounded like a homeless bum.
Let me try and answer my own question. Really smart competent people: Do they really want to hang out all day with dickweeds, blowhards, and insufferable preening egomaniacs for pretty low pay? Can't you think of about a million things you'd rather do than listen to Bawney Fwank give a speech?
