A former Chicago social studies teacher who was arrested for threatening to shoot former President Donald Trump and his son Barron “straight in the face” was allegedly also stalking the 17-year-old at his Florida high school.Tracy Marie Fiorenza, 41, traveled to West Palm Beach in March and started asking questions about the former first son outside the elite Oxbridge Academy, police records obtained by the Chicago Tribune show.A security guard who spotted her at the school called 911 on March 7, telling police officers she was a “known stalker of a high-profile student.”But when deputies arrived on the scene, Fiorenza claimed she was just trying to speak to the school’s headmaster because she had “conducted her own investigation” into whether Barron Trump was at the school.
Saying she needs to "level with New Yorkers" on Thursday, New York's Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul released a video slamming the Biden administration and federal government for the influx of illegal immigrants to the Empire State that, of course, ended up there due — in part at least — to New York's status as a "sanctuary state."Lamenting the fact that "much-needed changes at the border" haven't been made and that "there does not appear to be a solution to this federal problem any time soon," Hochul sought to lay the blame for New York's overwhelmed-by-illegal-immigrants status solely at the feet of the feds."This crisis originated with the federal government, and it must be resolved through the federal government," Hochul said, notably seeking to evade any responsibility for the surge of illegal immigrants that have pushed New York — and especially New York City — to the breaking point.And while Hochul may finally be right about one thing — that there's an illegal immigrant crisis stemming from the Biden administration's border and immigration policies — she entirely misses the obvious solution to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. Instead of calling on Biden to secure the border and remove individuals who illegally enter the country, Hochul calls on Biden to add even more incentives or "pull factors" for migrants to unlawfully enter the U.S.
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is charging a parental rights group more than $18K to fulfill a public records request.MCPS will charge Parents Defending Education $18,290.96 to obtain public records of correspondence about the district banning parental opt-out policies for its gender and sexuality curriculum, according to a letter released by the organization.In response, Nicole Neily, founder and president of Parents Defending Education, stated: "In Montgomery County Public Schools, ‘transparency’ and ‘accountability’ are dirty words, but the graphic sex acts that parents object to in their children’s books is completely acceptable."Neily posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, the letter from MCPS stating that Maryland law allows a government unit to recover actual costs incurred to search and prepare records for inspection for any time beyond the first two hours. She called it "an outrageous attempt to discourage oversight."
A Tennessee high school teacher recognized as "teacher of the month" last year was charged last week with aggravated statutory rape after a months-long investigation into her "inappropriate physical contact" with an underage student. Tenth-grade geometry teacher Casey McGrath, 28, was suspended with pay from her job at Chattanooga's Central High School while authorities investigated alleged "inappropriate physical contact with a student that does not result in harm" of a "sexual nature" on May 1, 2022, according to the teacher's personnel file reviewed by WTVC. "Ms. McGrath was suspended without pay on March 31," the Hamilton County School District's Communications Officer Steve Doremus told Fox News Digital when asked for comment. "She was not rehired for the current school year."An Aug. 14 indictment obtained by Fox News Digital accused the teacher of "unlawfully and knowingly engag[ing] in sexual penetration with a person of at least 13 years of age, but less than 18," noting that she is "at least 10 years older than the victim."
Parents in Montgomery County in Maryland, many of whom are Muslims, wanted the ability to opt their children out of school lessons that include LGBT content and gender ideology.A federal judge just ruled against them.FOX News reports:Maryland Court says parents can’t opt kids out of LGBTQ+ curriculum: ‘Not a fundamental right’A federal court in Maryland decided Thursday that parents can’t opt their kids out of reading books with LGBTQ+ content in Montgomery County Schools.In Tamer Mahmoud v. Monica B. McKnight, parents sought to reinstate a MCPS policy that would allow them to opt their children out of reading and discussing books with LGBTQ+ characters in elementary schools. The parents argued the content in these books was a form of indoctrination that violated their families’ religious beliefs.The court disagreed. Judge Deborah L. Boardman, a Biden appointee, concluded that the parents’ “asserted due process right to direct their children’s upbringing by opting out of a public-school curriculum that conflicts with their religious views is not a fundamental right.”The judge denied the parents’ request for a preliminary injunction that would allow them to opt-out their kids when school begins on August 28.“Because the plaintiffs have not established any of their claims is likely to succeed on the merits, the Court need not address the remaining preliminary injunction factors. Nonetheless, because a constitutional violation is not likely or imminent, it follows that the plaintiffs are not likely to suffer imminent irreparable harm, and the balance of the equities and the public interest favor denying an injunction to avoid undermining the School Board’s legitimate interests in the no-opt-out policy,” the judge determined.
