We recently looked at the proposal from California’s task force on reparations and its suggestion that Black residents should be paid up to a million dollars each. When reached for comment, Governor Gavin Newsom was full of praises for the task force, citing the “important work” it had done. But he hedged on the idea of writing checks of that size. He instead attempted to broaden the conversation, saying that reparations are “about much more than cash payments.” How do you suppose that’s going to fly with the legislature’s hard-left progressives? I’m guessing it won’t go over very well. (NY Post)

California Gov. Gavin Newsom declined to throw his support behind cash payments of up to $1.2 million for black residents recommended by his reparations task force, according to a report.

The Democratic governor told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that reparations — meant to take responsibility for the country’s history of slavery and systemic racism — “is about much more than cash payments.”

Now even other Anheuser-Busch brands are seeing sales declines, as the American people continue to register their disgust with being forced to accept and validate the trans madness even when all they wanted to do was grab a cold one.

The New York Post reported the good news on Tuesday: Anheuser-Busch’s dalliance with the pretend woman could wind up costing it billions of dollars in revenue. Bud Light earned $4.8 billion last year, with Modelo Especial raking in $3.75 billion, Michelob Ultra $3.3 billion, and Budweiser $1.83 billion. But so far this year, “Bud Light and Budweiser are the only top 10 US beers whose sales have dropped, with declines of 3% and 0.4%, respectively.”

The Post explained that “nationwide retail sales of Bud Light were down 23.4% versus a year ago in the week of April 29 — worse than the 21.4% decline it suffered a week earlier, according to Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data.” Hey, that’s terrific! Patriots can celebrate by popping open a… Yuengling.

Joe Kapp, former Vikings star QB who led team to Super Bowl, dead at 85

Joe Kapp, a one-time Pro Bowl quarterback who led the Minnesota Vikings to an NFL Championship and Super Bowl appearance during the 1969 season, has died. He was 85.

Kapp had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease these last few years. Kapp’s son, J.J., told The San Francisco Chronicle late Monday night that his father had died "after a 15-year battle with dementia."

Alzheimer’s is a sad and slow way to die.

On Tuesday, San Francisco District 5 Supervisor Dean Preston announced that he would be introducing legislation aimed at limiting the use of guns by security guards at businesses across the city.

The self-proclaimed "democratic socialist" said the current laws give security personell too much freedom to resort to violence to protect property, and suggested the rules should be amended to prohibit them from using weapons when there is no physical danger present.

This should hasten the exodus of retail stores and retail customers from downtown SF. The thieves and thugs will know security people have been emasculated and act accordingly.

By this comparison, Minneapolis also saw a 20% drop in hours worked and a 13% dip in aggregate worker earnings.

Across St. Paul’s restaurant industry, the city’s 2018 minimum wage hike was responsible for drying up nearly one-third of available jobs, the study found. In “limited-service” (fast food) restaurants, both hours and earnings fell by more than half after the increase took effect.

In August of last year the Buffalo Bills cut punter Matt Araiza after he was hit with a lawsuit alleging that he was part of a gang rape at a party. The problem is, it turns out the victim is a big liar — and after viewing videos of the alleged incident and talking to witnesses, the prosecutor declined to press charges. The alleged victim’s initial charges read like a horror novel.

Too bad for the accused,  as none of it was real. Of course, their lives were all ruined. Araiza lost his NFL contract, which he worked his whole life to get.

Araiza remains out of football despite prosecutors announcing on Dec. 7, 2022, that after conducting their own 124-day investigation, they wouldn’t press any criminal charges in the case. ...

A fuller picture of what police and prosecutors found, however, is now available via a 200-plus-page transcript obtained by Yahoo Sports of a 100-minute meeting in which a deputy district attorney offered a detailed explanation to the girl and her attorneys.

Perhaps most notably, the district attorney’s office concluded that Araiza couldn’t have led the girl into the alleged gang rape because he “left” the home at about 12:30 a.m., an hour prior to when evidence suggested the alleged gang rape would have occurred.

Until false accusers and perjurers receive the same consequences the falsely accused would have received, false accusations and perjury will flourish. Some wise guy knew that almost 3500 years ago.
