The short deliberation says it all.

The guy is now the poster-child for sociopathic narcissism.

Of all the upsetting things in the testimony, the worst for me was the 'sudden' referral to his son Paul, as paw-paw... like if he was still calling him by his baby-name the jury would be 100% convinced he would've never shot him.  No witness ever heard him refer to his son by that name.

Alex Murdaugh's prompt guilty verdict called 'stunning' while convict slammed as 'schemer'

Quote
The jury adjudicating the murder case against Alex Murdaugh was not moved by the defendant's self-advocacy.

Murdaugh, a Democrat whose family held the state's equivalent to the district attorney role in the Lowcountry from 1920 through 2006, was found guilty Thursday of murdering his wife and one of his sons.

Judge Jeanine Pirro, co-host of "The Five" and a former district attorney, said Murdaugh's taking of the stand in his own defense did not "pull the wool over the eyes" of the jury that agreed he was guilty.

Bolded for anyone's interest.
