Who will get the most votes this year?

We all know the answer, but I think this will show how screwed up the American People's priorities are.
I feel that once a black fella has referred to white foks as "honky paleface devil white-trash cracker redneck Caspers," he's abdicated the right to get upset about the "N" word. But that's just me. -- Jim Goad

I love the early AI shows every year. Self delusion is for some reason fascinating to me.

I'm no dedicated fan, but....what is wrong with American Idol?  It is an hour or so of enjoyment a week for those who like it.  People have been watching or listening to soap operas on radio and television for 70 years.  American Idol is nothing more or less than a concise soap opera.

What is it about American Idol that brings out the culture snob in so many?  Is the nation full of frustrated singers or something?

My problem isn't so much with AI as much as how important the fans make it.  I think it's rigged anyway, but hey, it's entertainment.  Just take it for what it is, entertainment.  It's not the end of the world if your favorite gets voted off.

And for the record, I'm not a culture snob.  I caught myself watching reruns of Rock of Love and I Love New York on my lunch break.

^I'm just frustrated that the average American citizen knows more AI than politics. But hey that's just me. ;)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I U-Versed it last night and put it on as I went to bed.  I couldn't watch it.  It is too contrived and ridiculous.  The producers are pandering to the outrageous.

A few nuts flavor the Chex Mix.  Too many nuts and all you have is a can of nuts.  This year, I just may be a culture snob myself.

Ah, yes.  American Idol.  Part of the train wreck that is reality TV.
*YAWN*   *FART*  *BURP*
Because Hollweird hasn't had an original idea in eons they regurgitate the same tired crap over and over, year after year.  The same thing with movies.  The sad part is that people lap it up like it's all shiny and brand new.

No, it's the fact that the idiots who idolize Sanjaya are the same dipshits who vote for Hillary and then wonder why they can't save for retirement, socialism doesn't work, etc., etc., etc.

It's called "failure to prioritize".
