They are extremely desperate for money here. I mean extremely desperate ..

Be Michelle's guest at the convention - You and a guest could meet the President and join the First Lady at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. We'll cover hotel and airfare. You just pitch in to automatically enter.

That would be awesome to win an all expenses paid trip to Charlotte NC. I've always wanted to get a tour of the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Oh I'll  skip on attending the convention but I'll see the local sites on the dnc's dime.

Man, and I thought Clinton charging for the Lincoln Bedroom was bad.  This is just embarrassing.

I've seen LMS. It is BEAUTIFUL .... While I was there, I also stopped in Kannapolis to see DIE, and went through Lake Norman. That whole area is gorgeous.

I know what you mean. They are calling out all stops to get money now. It is pathetic the lengths they are going.

Never thought I would see Obama stoop to an all time low to raise money. I guess he is a little short of that billion he was going to raise. He could always fry up a batch of chitlins and sell them.

Maybe I dont get it but how is this an all-time low?

Romney has had quite a few contests like that. Its a pretty good strategy IMO similar to Zynga's micro-transaction business model

He knows his voter base.

Next thing you know, he will be knocking on doors saying "can you spare a dime". :loser:

Actually, I can picture him standing on the street corner with a tin cup.

This is the first time I have ever heard of a President pandering a guest spot at the convention. I also find it good to know that Romney doesn't have to beg like Captain Zero.

The only way I would do this is, that as part of the package I were allowed to slap The First Wookie on her big old ass and yell, "Whose your daddy?"  :naughty: I think it would be fun for everyone and would really energize the crowd. :yahoo:

what are you talking about? I pointed out Romney has had several contest like that and this morning I got this e-mail from Romney:

It's been a long road to the convention, and supporters like you have gotten me this far.

That's why I'm excited to invite you to join us in Tampa.

Donate $3 today to be automatically entered for your chance to go behind the scenes in Tampa and to be there when I accept the nomination.

It's time to put an end to President Obama's campaign of frustration and division by coming together as a unified party. The convention is sure to be a pivotal moment and an unforgettable experience for anyone who shares my belief that it's time to get America back on track.

I hope you'll be there to celebrate with us.

Thanks,

Mitt Romney

I'll take up Moochelle's offer if she can get Han Solo to give me a ride on the Millenium Falcon. Wait...she's not Chewbacca in drag? Nevermind then.

I got the same email. I had donated to Santorum and he must have turned his list in to Romney. SR and I actually coughed up the whopping $3 so he can go to the convention in Tampa and snap some pics. If we won, there's no plane between Sarasota and Tampa.

As much as I love dumping on Obama, we can't really do that since the Republicans are doing the same thing.

Before the offer to meet Mitt at the convention, I had all kinds of pitches for $3, like to ride the campaign bus with them. They didn't get our $3 raffle thing for that one.  :-)

If you read the fine print you can enter the raffle without a donation, thats what I do since I made my big donation once Romney won the primaries.
