Think about how far we’ve come since 1963. The whole weight of the government throughout the South was to impede finding and holding and bringing to justice the men who perpetrated the [Birmingham] bombing.

 And here, we saw an entire state, an entire community, an entire nation come together, grieving as one and united in the belief that this was an evil act, so we’ve come a long way.

Now maybe there’s some magic law that will keep us from having more of these. I mean basically the only way to guarantee that we will dramatically reduce acts of violence involving guns is to basically remove guns from society, and until somebody gets enough “oomph” to repeal the Second Amendment, that’s not going to happen.

He didn't say it should be done, only that that is the only way to stop something like Charleston from happening again. 

In that he is short sighted. Repealing the 2nd Amendment will not stop mass murderers, just take away one option.

Is there anybody in the House, the Senate or a so-called "Conservative" political consultant, or conservative policy advisor that can be trusted? 

I have said it before; "We the People" are on our own and have been for quite some time.

IF we allow ANY infringement upon our 2nd Amendment; the amendment upon which all other amendments depend on, we WILL lose.  No other amendment, no other right, in my opinion is more important.

I think that Rove is just stating his opinion.  I don't think, with a Gallup poll (a couple of months ago) stating that 74% of the American public believes in the 2nd Amendment and gun rights, that he's actually advocating going ahead and repealing the 2nd Amendment.  I think that he's merely stating his opinion, and not endorsing repeal.

Even President Obama stated that it's not feasible.  He'd love to do it, but it's not feasible.  I think that, as his second term comes to a close, he'll issue more and more Executive Orders restricting the 2nd Amendment, and Hillary will be pinned to each and every one of them.  It will drive more moderates to make President Walker (or insert your favorite Republican there) a reality.  Said Republican President will make the revocation of said Executive Orders happen NLT 12:30 PM on January 20th, 2017.

Go down the list of amendments and stop when you get to #4.  How about we do away with that one?  I'm tired of all the cops not being able to search your car for the dope you're carrying.

Go on down to the next one.  How about we do away with #5, too!  I HATE that one.  I think after the cops find the dope in your car you should be COMPELLED to tell the truth about where you got it.

(I don't hate either of those, by the way, I just think if they can pick and choose which amendments they don't like and want to get rid of I should get to pick some too.) 

People really need to stop and think about some of this stuff before they go down this path.  All of these amendments were put in the BOR's for a reason.  People need to do a little research and think about this.
