President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost US jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The Post has learned.

The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.

It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.

"That's the more luxurious model," Christine Garant of Prevost told The Post.

They'd better be telling me that those buses were paid for from DNC funds.

The buses were bought because the Secret Service says they're less expensive and better than a retrofit commercial bus.

They're also available to everyone that is a Presidential candidate, but I don't know how they're going to swing that unless they buy thirty of them.

You just paid $1 million a piece for 2 vehicles. Would you want to drive it through the hood?

I think that the explanation (for the Presidential candidates) is better read, "for me (the Obamessiah) and the Republican who beats me in 2012."
