Sources close to Obama have leaked names on the list of candidates for the position of treasury secretary—no doubt as a means of reassuring Wall Street. Included are former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, former Clinton treasury secretary and current Citigroup executive Robert Rubin, another former Clinton treasury secretary, Lawrence Summers, and Timothy Geithner, the New York Federal Reserve Bank president.

All of these individuals played leading roles in the deregulation of the banks and investment houses that facilitated the super-profits and massive CEO compensation packages of the 1990s and first half of the current decade, and contributed to the financial collapse that is now plunging the US and the rest of the world into the deepest recession since the 1930s.

2. But, but, but!
...DU-ers are going to hold Obama's feet to the fire, aren't they?

We need an emoticon for that.

3. Keep an eye on Summers and Rubin people. They are personally responsible for China
And the stock market / mortgage bubble credit inflation crisis of the past 15 years.

And the asshat purists are crawling out of the woodwork. I'd like to extend a hearty, '**** YOU' to all those who can't even wait until our guy is sworn in before they start with the slime.

Less than a week, and the long knives are already coming out.  If Obama doesn't pick exactly who the DUmmies want for the cabinet and support roles, they might demand Obampeachment. :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

There is hardly a soul here that hasn`t predicted what Obama will do early in his Presidency.
He is following the Clinton pattern who resurrected Carter dinosaurs and has already gone back on his campaign pledges.
Remember the "Economic plan" that Clinton ran on in 1992 which immediately never existed after he got elected.

The first 100 days will be such a lurch to the left that his term may be over before it starts.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Jimmy Carter Part 2
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Geez, and to think it took freepers five whole years to get sick of Bush (for the most part).

Wait a second here. I thought that everything was Bush's fault. Now I find out it was actually the financial bigwigs during the Clinton administration that caused everything bad that has ever happened.
