Covid plexiglass shields really do protect you

Since the start of the baseball season this year our work areas at Angel Stadium in Anaheim have  been properly distanced and shrouded with plexiglass to protect us from the chi-vi.  I sit in the press area behind home plate and have wondered since opening day how the plexiglass would fair against one of the many foul balls that come our way during the season and last night I found out when a foul ball hit the plexi directly in front of the stats girl who sits to my immediate right.  The shield shattered where the ball hit it and split a ways from the point of impact but it stopped the ball from hitting the girl hard in her mid section.
