From the blog post dated Sept. 17:
My wife is recovering from surgery on the arm Missouri deputies broke during violent "eviction"

My wife, Carol, had surgery yesterday on the arm that Missouri sheriff deputies broke during an unlawful "eviction" that appeared to be more like an orchestrated assault.

A trauma surgeon said the procedure went well, and he expects a full recovery. Carol's caregivers said she will need regular physical therapy, and her recovery probably will take at least two to three months.

The surgeon described Carol's injury as a broken elbow. He said a number of implants (screws, etc.) were needed to piece the bone back together. It looks like Carol will be in the hospital at least one more night.

My computer access is limited, but I will try to keep readers updated on Carol's condition and the events that led to her injury. Jim Arnott, the sheriff of Greene County, Missouri, was at the scene of the "eviction" and watched from a few feet away as his deputies assaulted Carol--doing nothing to intervene except pointing a finger and indicating Carol had "assaulted a police officer."

Let me guess ...

*Shuler & laserWife didn't pay their rent or mortgage payment;

*Shuler & laserWife got an eviction notice, challenged it and lost;

*Shuler & laserWife refused to move, so the sheriff came to remove them;

*Shuler's laserWife resisted, tripped while on concrete or asphalt and landed on her elbow, breaking bones.

If my guesses are more or less correct, Shuler & laserWife were in the wrong, and had multiple opportunities to prevent laserWife's injury (unknowingly, of course). BTW, unless laserWife suffered a compound fracture or is otherwise in poor health, I think his claim that she will stay in the hospital overnight is dubious. I say this based on a family member having recently fractured an ankle, requiring surgery to install a plate and screws to hold the bone in place as it healed. It was an outpatient surgery, with no hospital stay. OTOH, two months of PT is probably on the high end of realistic.

Gambling is a net negative to the economy.
Every dollar gained is reduced by the vig after being lost by someone else.
It's worse than a zero sum gain.
So libs who are in favor of gambling are hypocrites to the idea that  economic exchanges should be fair to all involved with no winners and no losers.

I'm thinking that the OP was discussing one topic...the eviction in Missouri...and at the tail end..and with some piss poor writing...decided to give a shout out to laserhass...who by the way...is going through a similar problem with the legal system in Alabama.

You gotta read part of the blog to get the answers.

The blogger, Roger Shuler (whoever he is), lived in and blogs about politics in Alabama, specifically how he dislikes Republicans there.

He was living in some apartment in Missouri for a year having moved there from Birmingham where he had lived for quite a while. He was originally from Missouri and returned for some reason I have yet to confirm, but I think it had to do with his mother. Best I can gather it's some type of family dispute because the one who helped get him served for eviction was his own brother.
