I released my inner vaccine snob
yesterday and I don’t feel bad about it.
I said hello to a neighbor and reminded her about mom’s bday party later. “Bring your (adult) son if you like. He’s vaccinated right?” I invited and queried, knowing that the invited attendees were ALL vaccinated.
I am but he is not she replied.
I said, “He is still welcome but he will have to wear a mask.”
She came, he didn’t.

I would have uninvited him. If there was any eating or drinking, he'd have to take his mask off. I'm glad he didn't come.

3. It's becoming harder and harder to contain my resentment and disdain toward the unvaccinated.
BUT there are those who still have barriers to vax access, so I can't be too judgy.

I'm sure the reason the son didn't come was the mask thing - really, I'm totally sure - there's no way at all it's because he has a million better things to do with his time...like watch some paint dry.

I'm done playing this game. After performing my due diligence, got the vaccination so that our country gets closer to normal. I'm aware that not everyone wants to get one, and I respect their decision not to. Also as mentioned in other threads, a lot of people in our country have had the Wuhan therefore have the antibodies.
Even after almost a year and a half, the goalposts are still moving. I'm not wearing a mask anymore, Mask-hole Nazi's. And this country is not shutting down. This shaming of red states and rural people is counterproductive and incredibly condescending. But rather typical of our lazy liberal media who live in their insulated bubbles.
So go piss up a rope and stop lecturing us. We're old enough and educated enough to make our own F-ing decisions. :bird: :bird: :bird:

I've been using that or similar pix for quite a while. I just DDG-searched "moving the goalposts" and selected Images. Like I posted in my comment, message-changing last spring reflected how little was known and how fast we were learning. The "experts" stupidly and pridefully refused to admit they were low on the learning curve, creating distrust when messaging changed with learning.
Now, however, Covid goalposts are moving to support government power and public panic. One current government message is, "Get vaccinated to return to normalcy." Another, concurrent, government message is, "Eeeeek! Bogey-Variant-of-the-Month is scary! We're all going to die! Everyone mask-up, including the vaccinated!" Contradictory messaging like that feeds distrust and resentment - people know they are getting fed horse manure. The messaging also feeds vaccine hesitancy and skepticism, because people don't know whether the vaccines are effective, as one message claims, or whether vaccines are ineffective, which the other message clearly means.
The problem with current goalpost moves is that information - e.g. how the vaccines work, vaccine test phase start dates, results for each vaccine's test phases, daily new cases and daily deaths, vaccination rates for the US and every state, that the vaccines used in the US are effective against the bogey-variants - is readily available for people to find. The more people find and think about, for example, the daily new cases and daily deaths data for the US, the more they realize that the government's and their MSM shills' Panic Porn is false and dishonest.
Many DUpipo maintain their Covid Ignorance, because so much of Covid news and facts have contradicted what their politics need to be true. Facts that contradict their ideology they denigrate as "Reich-Wing" and ignore.
