'Corzine staffer' busted with drugs
« on: October 31, 2009, 01:03:18 PM »

A man who identified himself as an official with New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine's re-election campaign was arrested last night after cops found found ecstasy tablets wrapped and ready to be sold in his car, police said.

Jason Shih, 25, was pulled over by East Rutherford cops at about 11:30 p.m. last night because he was talking on his cell phone on Route 17, said Lt. Chris Conforti of the East Rutherford police.

Officers wound up finding 19 "blue star" ecstasy tablets in Shih's car, each wrapped in its own little plastic bag.

Shih -- who was stopped within 100 feet of Becton Regional High School -- also had had "several hundred" empty plastic bags in his car, Conforti said. ...

Aren't beer and cigarettes the traditional election bribe?

I don't expect NJ to go our way.  Dems are to imbeded there.  No way in hell they won't "find" the few votes they need to get over the top.

Don't right off us New Jersians just yet. 2 more days. I can tell you that there is a huge anti-Corzine sentiment in the air here.
Enough to perhaps overdo any fraud and cooking the books that will occur.

It's not as predictable as you might think.  I as living there when Whitman beat Florio in '93, of course you have to realize that a NJ Republican is more like what what the Midwest would regard as a mainstream Democrat, and a NJ Democrat is more like a Socialist or a European-type 'Social Democrat.'

Christie is a solid conservative. His running mate is pro-choice, but she is no position of power to do anything about it, she is Sherriff of Monmouth county with a record of being tough on illegal immigration.

The Corzine campaign is claiming they know nothing about this guy, and the Post even pulled the story, though it is still available from another source if you google news it. However, the guy was found with a bunch of tickets to an Obama event, so I am betting a nickel he actually is a staffer.

Was it just online, or was it also in print?  How is that even ethical?
