Tent cities spring up around Los Angeles

Un-freaking-believeable!!!  :banghead: Note to dour tone by the BBC reporter.  :whatever:

I could go on and on about how slanted and wrong this is but I would be preaching to the choir. Wonder how many DUmmies live here? Or what they DUmmies think about this piece of video?

Note that they are trying to play this off as the sole result of the subprime meltdown when in the video illness and job loss are blamed for some of these folks losing their homes. And this tent city has apparently been here for a while and had nothing to do with the mortgage crisis.

I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
