When I see fools like this, it makes my blood ****in' boil!!!!! I know we all have the right to our own opinions/beliefs, but these people are ****in' dim witted fools. (Now that is my opinion and my belief.) Maybe all the pot smoking and drug taking messed up their pea sized brains far too much as to what socialism and communism really does to people! (I'm sorry, that's all I will say about it.) 
Sure we have the right to our opinions--but where people go wrong--or it is a meme propagated by the MSM/left--is in automatically equating the right to do something with that something's rightness. In any terms we care to mention, by any metric.
They ARE dimwitted fools, dead right on, trueblood, for being so intellectually lazy as to not examine this spurious linkage.
As to the drugs and their effects on their brains--although we shouldn't dismiss this effect among their cognoscenti, and you make me think of a whole different line of questioning, the flat-out sanity of some of the chiefs of the left, and if some of them aren't, really and no kidding, clinically insane--I think it more likely that liberalism/statism attract the mentally unstable and the intellectually deficient. That who they are genetically and phenotypically correlates with the adherents of the "philosophies" of the left but is the cause, not effect, because if you follow this thought through to its logical conclusions then we have to guess that those philosophies were the products of human minds, of course, and if the adherents are mentally inferior—then it’s no large stretch to attribute the origin of these notions—communism, statism, authoritarianism, call them what you will—to below-average intellects. Bah! As if any schoolyard bully couldn’t create a dressed-up-to-deceive version of that oh-so-advanced social system, feudalism. Because that’s all the left is, for all its intellectual pretensions.
I notice that, lately, the left’s ability to deceive the American public has sharply declined. While there are many reasons for this—most importantly alternative news outlets—it may also be that the left has simply become stupider in 1-2 generations of inbreeding of the lowest-IQ among us—liberals, by strong correlative definition.
