One of our carriers is normally first on the scene when there's a disaster. No doubt it'll be the case now.

Never mind that that an Aircraft Carrier can produce thousands of gallons of fresh water per day, provide lots of electrical power , advanced medical facilities , logistical support , aircraft control and operations and a whole bunch of other services.
In the eyes of the left it's a "warship" and is totally incapable of providing any other services.
