I lost a very dear friend...

Some of you know her, too. Tangerine LaBamba has passed away. I hadn't heard from her in over a week and received a phone call from a friend.

I met her here on DU - we became email friends, then almost like sisters. She was exceptionally gifted person with a heart of gold. We became close, close as sisters. She and I had shared a similar life growing up and shared our pain and joy.

I will miss her so much. I simply can't wrap my head around this just yet and don't know all the details.

Please say a prayer for her.

Ms.T laB why did you have to go...

Was she ill?  Was this a suicide?  It sounds tragic.

RIP, Tangerine LaBamba.  I pray you are at last in the Light.

This is just real strange in light of the person posting here a couple of weeks ago.
Perhaps she knew it was coming and wanted to say hello first.

When she was here she was quite pleasant and civil,so it is rather sad.
Hopefully she was prepared for eternity.

Sorry to hear that. I hope she was right with God. Everything else is secondary.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

She was irrepressible. One of a kind. And one of the kindest, sweetest people I can ever imagine knowing.

93. Oh no. I always loved her posts.

Please give my sympathy to her loved ones.

One wonders if the primitives are aware that conservativecave was the last place Gloria Swanson bothered to post, while still in this time and place.

This happened rather sooner than I thought it would.

She was so graceful.  S'pose that is it.  Just damb.

I was rather delighted by her appearance here.

She is missed.

I had exactly one e-mail exchange with her; she was going to critique my story, "Christmas at Grandma's"--she really disliked Mrs. Alfred Packer, the hippywife primitive--and then no word for days.

163. Why don't you go and acquaint yrself with the rules?

People don't change once they're dead, and an insufferable and egotistical bore before death is still one after death. I get sick of the candy-coating. This may come as a shock to you in yr attempt to beautify a retread troll, but yr opinion doesn't mean that others have to agree with it. I didn't think she was particularly witty or intelligent, but I don't expect you to have to agree, and I won't spew abusive attacks at you for disagreeing...

I thought the woman was an attention-seeking egotist last week, and still think that today. Deal with it...
