Senators will hurl at ANYONE President Biden nominates to fill Justice Breyer's seat on the SCOTUS are either already written or will be by "Rachel time" this evening. They will just "fill in the blank" when a nominee is named.

As our POTUS pledged to nominate a black woman, the words "too extreme", "radical liberal" and "socialist" will undoubtedly be mentioned in every speech in opposition to the nominee. That's the "out loud" part.

The "quiet part" will be heard from the Right Wing Echo Chamber on cable and the internet and will consist of smirky disingenuous references to "shrill tone", "inner city experience", "anti-white sentiment" and, of course, "hormones".

Smart Democrats will use this racist misogyny against their Trump party opponents and hang a few of their nastiest quotes around their necks. There are still more good people than bad in this country, but many are too busy putting food on the table and shoes on the kids to keep track of just how mean-spirited these people really are.

It is up to us to inform them.

I have no problems with a qualified, educated and unbiased black woman as a SCOTUS Justice as long as she will base her decisions on Constitutional law, but if brandon is going to pick any black woman just so he can say he picked the first black woman and also enjoy the built in flak jacket the left expects to come with a female person of color, then the gop is justified in their opposition to such a nomination.

One needs to look no further than at our current VP to see what picking a person for a high profile job just because of her race or what sex organs she possess is a big mistake.

He nominates her for the seat on the court, replaces her with someone else as VP,  Biden resigns, VP takes his place as president and the democrats no longer have Biden dragging them down  in November.

People on Twitter are speculating that democrats anticipate losing the senate in November, hence why Breyer is stepping down now. They don't want a repeat of Ginsburg.

Oh, and the condescension shown by Breyer at the OSHA mandate hearings will not be missed.

That is my take too. The polls, real polls not push polling, democrats use must look horrendous... and Breyer said he was not pressured... and we all know when a leftist democrat denies something it is true.

If the pick ends up being a female black then she will FOREVER be tagged as a token.  The rip will be: "You were selected for being a black female.  Your judicial quals are meaningless."

I wonder if the dismal polling has anything to do with pelosi deciding to run again in 2022 when it was thought she would be leaving.
