Tonight's Gov Race In Virginia ...
« on: November 02, 2021, 07:32:56 PM »
If interested ...

And I do believe that there is a lot at stake for the country in this particular race, between MCAULIFFE & YOUNGKIN.

I don't listen to all the gabbing of the  talking heads on TV, I simply keep track of the numbers shown every half hour.

At 8:30 ET  on FOX NEWS ...  DEM 43.4  ~ REP 55.9

Hey toots!  Watching the World Series rather than watching the election returns, but paying a bit of attention.  So thank you for posting these updates.

It will be obviously completely scattered results based on which county reports and when.  Trying to be optimistic, but given the prolificity of Dems to cheat, am quite worried about what I'll hear at Midnight.

Your welcome, am sure you are not the only one tonight watching the game.  :-)

I will not check in every hour to post results, but will, if things start to change.

Enjoy your game!

The lead is getting to the point that the late Fairfax County vote dump won't be enough to stop Youngkin.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

TownHall just called the race for Youngkin. Newsmax and DDHQ projected Youngkin to win about a half hour ago.

Clean sweep - Gov, Lt. Gov, and AG all red.

Watching live coverage on Newsmax, McAwful couldn't even bother coming to his HQ in MacLean. His ass is parked at home while he cries and sniffles. Sent an email to his supporters about an hour ago, "Win or lose, blah, blah, blah...."

The kerfuffle about the rescanned ballots in Fairfax County involved a defective memory card, which was exchanged after both parties signed off on it and the process was conducted properly, fairly, and witnessed by GOP lawyers. There's a Twitter link in the Townhall link above from someone reporting from a top GOP lawyer involved in that process.

Of course, that could be total BS -- will see how it turns out, but I kinda doubt that Townhall and Decision Desk HQ would've called the race for Youngkin without a solid number from Fairfax County, the most populous county in VA.

When I looked about a half hour ago, Youngkin was at 64% and McAwful at about 54% with about 67% of the votes counted.

The fat lady ain't sung yet, but this is looking fairly solid, unless there's a repeat of the crap that occurred a year ago.

AP, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, NYT have all called it for Youngkin.

Democrats are not invincible geniuses.  The Trump campaign didn't have enough poll watchers and lawyers.  You leave the door wide open and the Democrats will rob you blind.

Youngkin and the Virginia GOP were prepared.  Hat's off to them.

Extra added goodness:

Virginia's House of Delegates also went Red, by one seat. Razor-thin margin, but from a solidly-blue commonwealth (which it had become due to the sucking chest wound known as NOVA/Washington, D.C. and all the federal employee teat-suckers that feed off that carcass) to Red is an amazing achievement.

I understand your point and celebrate with you. However:
  • The GOP has a long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. This, and 2022, may change that around somewhat, but as long as there are Establishment RINOs in the caucus, that characteristic is still there for the Dems to capitalize on.
  • McAwful has historically been a very poor candidate and his defeat this time should be laid solidly on his own incredible dumbassery especially over the past several weeks. The Loudoun County School Board debacle and McAwful's own statements combined to turn even heavily-blue Loudoun County against the Democrat. Let's hope more comes to light and there's some housekeeping if not indictments coming out of the failure of Loudoun County School Board execs to report the two rapes as they were required (and failed) to do.
  • We should not even begin to think that the 2020 election "issues" have been fixed. Far from it. And let's not forget that the Dems will not hesitate to cheat, even openly, to gain a foothold.
  • Youngkin was wise to keep DJT out of his own campaign, especially in Virginiastan. At no time did DJT campaign for Youngkin and thus forced McAwful into lying on multiple occasions. Like it or not, DJT is divisive, and Youngkin played it smart by sticking to the issues and leaving DJT out of it, despite DJT's endorsement of him.
