things we've forgotten to remember

Things once commonplace in our lives but it's been a very long time since we've seen them.

Snoopy in the "Peanuts" cartoon strip as the Red Baron
soda bottle caps nailed upside down to boards to make mats for scraping one's shoes of mud or snow
playing cards clothes-pinned to bicycle wheels
apres moi, le deluge

Aww yes, I agree!   :cheersmate:

And also old tv ads such as "Calgon take me away!"

Could come in handy these days, if the product worked and still existed.    :-)

It really is the best in the world & I can't stand the thought of losing it.

I think I watch more TV shows on this network than any others. https://www.metv.com/

We also watch https://www.insp.com/schedule/ quite a bit.

Think we've had this conversation before, but yes, MeTV is pretty cool.  On my bedroom TV where I don't have my DirecTV connected, have an nice antenna that gets about 50 over the air channels.

My personal recommendations for those rather obscure channels:

MeTV

AntennaTV

CoziTV

Laff Network

Mostly 60's, 70's, and 80's shows which are heavy on the sitcoms.  But an interesting variety.

I never realized how so many of the old shows had a moral foundation almost every week.

Snoopy in the "Peanuts" cartoon strip as the Red Baron.

A slight correction. Snoopy was the brave flying ace that would go up to hunt for, and get shot down by, The Red Baron. Then it was sneaking back through no mans land to have a root beer with the rest of his squadron mates.

I stand corrected.  Thank you, sir!
