Joementia's son Beau died of cancer, not killed in battle. There is a major distinction between comparing him to the 13 Marines who died in Afghanistan. Yes, everyone is entitled to grieve in their own way, but he keeps using it to gain sympathy even 5+ years afterwards. It has become a crutch, amongst his many foibles.
Hell, I'm a 20+ year cancer survivor and rarely talk about it at all. My close friends and family who know what I went through only occasionally ask how I'm still holding up. And the answer is just fine.
