Dark thoughts

I'm having trouble distinguishing Germany 1933 from America 2021. The countless similarities should come as no surprise to anyone who knows what happened in Germany in that era, and has been paying attention to our plunge into hell in recent years.

I'm almost convinced that American democracy is on its death bed. And it may be a drawn out death that will take place during and after the next two elections. The Democrats, who seemingly hold all the levers of power, appear to be incapable of preventing it. -- Not because of incompetence, but because of the viciousness of the Republican onslaught, and the fact that not enough people are fully aware of the peril.

I hope I'm wrong about this and some kind of "salvation" is at hand. But if it is, I'm damned if I can see it.

The DUmbass is correct but not as they think. Antifa and the thugs of Burn Loot Murder are the SA of the Democrat party and what happened in DC on 01-06-21 is trying to be the modern version of the Reichstag fire in the 30s for the Democrats.

For someone who claims “countless similarities” between Germany 1933 and the USA 2021, I’m drawing a blank on there being anything similar.

In 1933, Germany had been hurt by a worldwide economic depression while trying to repay WW1 reparations and have suffered since the end of the war with a series of governments where they could never consolidate power. The only ones in a position to consolidate power to cause harm at this point are the Dems, not the Republicans. The only ones currently silencing speech and shutting down the free flow of information on sites like YouTube and Facebook and Twitter are the Dems. The ones who are able to burn, loot, and murder without fear of repercussions are the allies of the Dems.

The 2021 versions of Hans and Sophie Scholl are afraid of Democrats.

Cyrano is as confused as he ever has been.
